Calling everyone who uses drama and theatre in their work with young people! Join Youth Theatre Arts Scotland and a dynamic network of youth theatre, creative learning, and teaching professionals from across Scotland for Interchange 2025.
This practical, two-day skills development event takes place at the Lanternhouse in Cumbernauld on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6thApril. The event features interactive workshops led by inspiring theatre professionals, as well as plenty of opportunity to connect with colleagues from across the youth arts sector and refresh your creative practice together. Attendees can choose to attend for one day or for both.
Across the weekend there will be three workshops to choose from, and attendees will take part in one workshop each day. Wonder Fools’ session will offer practical tools and fresh approaches to finding, preparing, and developing scripts for teenage performers; while Ned Glasier leads a devising workshop on the co-creation process to encourage your sense of creative freedom; and Birgit Freitag will take us through movement exercises and improvisation techniques used in her work with communities and young people.
