Suicide Prevention Scotland - Gathering Hope 2025

An event for third sector organisations involved in suicide prevention work.

Suicide Prevention Scotland’s second Gathering Hope event is taking place on Wednesday 22 January 2025 at the Golden Jubilee Conference Centre in Clydebank.

Suicide Prevention Scotland aims to provide a range of opportunities for people across different sectors to come together, share experiences and learning about suicide prevention.

In January 2024, the first Gathering Hope event was held, bringing together third sector and charity organisations. The second of these events will take place on 22nd January 2025 at the Golden Jubilee Conference Centre.

This event will focus on sharing learning about the role of stigma and discrimination as a common experience across different groups and communities, explore how this increases suicide risk and provide an opportunity to hear about promising approaches to address this.

The event will provide an opportunity to network with other organisations across Scotland, hear from organisations who are working in ways which help to address inequalities and participate in discussions about what else we can do to support people at greatest risk of suicide.

The event is aimed at third sector and charitable organisations working to prevent suicide in Scotland. There will also be a further conference held in May 2025, further details to follow.
