Through community-led funding the National Lottery aim to support communities to improve the places in which they live and the wellbeing of those most in need.
Through their Community Led grants The National Lottery Community Fund provides funding to support communities in Scotland to improve the places they live and the wellbeing of those most in need. Grants of between £10,000 and £150,000 and for up to three years are available to develop existing or new activities.
To apply for Community Led funding, organisations should have a social purpose, open membership, and be based in the local area they serve and be run by local people. Their work should allow everyone in the community to have the opportunity to influence and participate in the community-led activity, to be better connected and to improve their wellbeing.
Activity funded must be people-led, connected and strengths-based, called the three approaches to funding.
