CLD Assistant Support Worker (Youth Work) - 7 Posts

As an Assistant Support Worker, you will assist the delivery of community-based youth work including youth awards, outdoor learning and detached youth work. An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have some knowledge of local CLD Partner agencies and organisations.

Working as part of the wider CLD team, you will be required to support the core functions of youth work.

An enthusiastic and motivated individual, you will have some knowledge of local Community Learning and Development Partner agencies and organisations. Successful candidates will have good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

In addition to the Council mandatory training, all successful candidates will participate in relevant and training.

You must have relevant qualifications at SCQF level 4 or above and previous experience of community-based work with young people.

Successful candidates will be expected to work 5 hours per week, mainly across two evenings. The CLD Assistant Support Worker will be line managed by a CLD Worker within the locality team.

You will require to become a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme member through Disclosure Scotland and obtain a satisfactory membership check prior to commencing in this role.
