Tackling Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) Across Scotland

Learn and network with colleagues from across policing, criminal justice, housing, health, local authorities and the third sector to discuss how we can prevent, tackle, and ultimately eradicate VAWG in Scotland.

Following the refreshment of the Equally Safe Scotland Strategy in December 2023, this conference will look at national priorities for eradicating male violence against women and girls. Hear next steps for policy and funding to harness support for victims and improve reporting and sentencing across Scotland.

With 14,602 sexual crimes reported in 2022-23, Police Scotland have launched an updated VAWG strategy. Delegates will hear how Police Scotland can drive change through effective prevention strategies, the pursuit of perpetrators and the creation of safe spaces for everyone.

This conference will be an opportunity to assess current provision for victims and discuss what is needed to improve support.
