The aim of People’s Postcode Trust is to support smaller charities and good causes to make a difference to their community for the benefit of people and planet. Round 2 of applications for 2025 will open from 24th June with a deadline of 1st July.
Enabling participation in physical activity, enabling participation in the arts, preventing or reducing the impact of poverty, supporting marginalised groups and tackling inequality, improving biodiversity and responding to the climate emergency, improving green spaces and increasing access to the outdoors, providing support to improve mental health.
People’s Postcode Trust is supported by the players of People’s Postcode Lottery, providing funding for smaller charities and good causes in Scotland. The Trust opens for applications at certain periods throughout the year.
People’s Postcode Trust provides funding under the following themes:
The amount that can be applied for depends on the type of organisation. Registered charities, Community Interest Companies (CIC’s) with an asset lock (Schedule 1 and 2 only) and Community Benefit Societies can apply for up to £25,000. All other eligible groups can apply for up to £2,500.
Each organisation must have a constitution, signed accounts at the time of applying, and have been operating for over 1 year. Applicants are advised to read through the funding guide currently available on the Trust website.
