Mickel Fund grants are distributed twice a year with the sole purpose of improving the lives of others through charitable donations in and around Scotland, and where possible on a global scale, with a focus on five core funding priorities. The application process for the September meeting will open on 13th March.
Mickel Fund donations go a long way in helping to improve the services these funded charities provide and in improving the lives of those whom they help.
They donate the majority percentage of funding to local Scottish charities and a percentage to National, International and Global Charity appeals, as well as eligible individuals through the Hardship Donation Scheme.

The types of funding available fall into three categories and dependent on which category you fall into will determine how much you are likely to receive. The three categories are: Major Donation – £5,000 to £10,000 Annual Donation – £500 to £2,000 Hardship Donation – £50 to £500.
The Mickel Fund Trustees meet twice a year to consider applications, in March and September.
Please note that the application process for the Thursday 12th March meeting of the Trustees has now closed as the number of applications has reached capacity. The process for the September meeting will open on Friday 13th March.
