Many Good Men is an interactive, digital performance at Hearts FC which follows two footballers who have witnessed a traumatic event trying to learn more about the online radicalisation of masculinity. As one becomes more drawn into the world he is investigating, audiences will be asked to help explore what could be done to stop online radicalisation and how we can overwhelm the ‘hate’ algorithm with more messages of hope and love. There will be two different performances, one researched and co-written with young women and the other researched and co-written with young men.
Free of charge to classes and youth groups, performance dates are planned for the young women’s group on the 8th and 9th, and the young men’s group on the 26th and 27th, in February 2024.
Civic Digits are keen to work closely with teachers and youth workers in advance of attending the shows, to make sure that they are fully informed about what to expect, and so that you can fully support your group of attendees. Performaces will be suitable for ages 14+.
