What are your climate action priorities? Join us on 30th October to connect with young people (11-26), learn from experts and create Scotland’s Youth Climate Declaration in advance of COP26.

What are your climate action priorities? Join us for the Scottish Youth Climate Summit on 30 October (9.30am to 5pm) to connect with young people (11-26), learn from experts and create Scotland’s Youth Climate Declaration in advance of COP26.

The Scottish Youth Climate Summit will bring together a diverse range of young people, aged 11 – 26, to discuss their priorities for climate action in Scotland. Working alongside a range of climate experts and activists, participants will create a national youth declaration on climate change, highlighting the most pressing issues for children and young people and setting out their demands to the Scottish Government and international decision-makers.

If your young people and youth groups are unable to attend this event, you can use this guide to hold a discussion with the young people who can’t make it. This will then be fed into discussions on the day of the Scottish Youth Climate Summit to ensure all young people’s voices across Scotland are heard in the final declaration. The guide includes discussion points and suggested questions, focussing on the key themes that will be raised at the Scottish Youth Climate Summit and fed into the declaration.

Please ensure you send back comments from discussions no later than Friday 29 October 2021, to Naomi Dixon at so this can be included in the Scottish Youth Climate declaration.
