This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

We also run a number of National Grants Programmes, designed with and for the youth work sector in Scotland, distributing over £1m each year to youth work organisations across the country. You can contact us if you have any questions about our funding programmes.

A Scottish grant-making charity that is about strengthening and amplifying people’s voices and their power to make change.

Allander Youth Activities Charitable Trust (Scotland only)
The Trust promotes the education and training of young people across voluntary youth organisations at a local level. Activities funded include: climbing, mountain biking, quad biking, skiing, sailing, kayaking and trips to various places of interest as well as weekends at Scout and Guide Centres. Support for overseas trips, expeditions and activities is also provided.

Bank of Scotland Foundation receives an annual donation from Lloyds Banking Group as part of the Group's commitment to Helping Scotland Prosper. These funds are distributed to charities across Scotland through their grants programmes and a matched giving programme for Lloyds Banking Group employees in Scotland.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation
Funding for projects in the UK that help individuals overcome disadvantage, social exclusion and lack of opportunity and so realise their full potential. No deadlines for applications.

Paul Hamlyn Foundation Youth Fund
Supports organisations whose main purpose is working with and for young people (aged 14-25) who face complex transitions to adulthood. No deadlines - apply any time.

The Dulverton Trust
An independent grant-making charity supporting UK charities tackling a range of issues including youth opportunities, general welfare and conservation. No deadlines - apply any time (Trustees make decisions in February, June and October - applying at least 3 months in advance of the meeting).

What’s Your Big Idea?!
This fund specifically supports young people (aged 12-25) turn their ideas into reality. No deadlines for applications.

Bairdwatson Charitable Trust
The aim of the fund it to support organisations providing services relating to training for employment, employment support and vocational skills. It is particularly interested in employment and skills training for young people who are unemployed and in re-training, and support for unemployed people to get them back into work.

The Percy Bilton Charity
The charity offers capital grants to UK registered charities who assist disadvantaged young people, people with disabilities or mental health problems and older people. No deadlines for applications.

Barcapel Foundation
The Foundation supports charitable work and endeavours in Scotland. The three priority areas of interest for funding are health, heritage, and youth (donations in this area span all aspects of assisting children and young adults, although they are particularly keen to support those from socially and financially disadvantaged backgrounds).

The William Syson Foundation
Promotes, develops and ensures the practice and enjoyment of the arts, including the visual and performing arts, literature and heritage and works to support the arts sector. Now closed for applications. Next round will be in Spring 2026, date to be advised.

The Pixel Fund
This Fund provides grants of between £2,500 and £5,000 to charities based in the UK in order to support the improvement in mental health and well-being of children and young adults. No deadlines but please note the fund is very oversubscribed and you should check carefully the eligibility criteria on the Fund website before applying.
