About Course

This session will cover some of the resources available to engage young people on the topic of sectarianism and provide a bit of self-guided learning to the topic. We will look at areas around defintions, understanding context and practical steps to addressing the issue with young people in your community. 

What Will You Learn?

  • Learn about how sectarianism is defined and how to develop a definition relevant to your young people.
  • Develop an understanding of the context of sectarianism in relation to Scotland's history and how to do some self-guided learning on the topic.
  • Know some practical steps to use when addressing the issue with young people in communities. 
  • Develop confidence in discussing sectarianism in communities and challenging it when you witness it.
