Funding is available for registered charities who are creating or improving spaces so that more people have a place to feel at home. They focus on charities that support people who are most in need because of homelessness, financial hardship, sickness, disability or other disadvantage. The next deadline is 15th May.
In 2025, B&Q reviewed their funding approach to make sure they’re having the greatest impact possible and giving charities clearer guidance about what they can support. Their focus is now on projects that directly improve home environments, rather than community centres, support hubs, or well-being spaces. They currently offer two main funding programmes: the Home Improvement Fund and the Home-Starter Kits Fund.
Grants for essential home improvements and home starter kits—helping individuals and families facing homelessness, domestic abuse, disabilities, illness, or financial hardship to feel more settled and supported in their living spaces.
