Cash for Kids Grants

The charity raises millions of pounds each year and awards grants to help disabled and disadvantaged children aged 0 to 18 who are suffering from abuse or neglect, who are disabled or who simply need extra care and guidance. Grants are also given to children’s charities and organisations to help them undertake projects and new initiatives or to ensure that much needed services can continue to provide essential care and support.

Cash for Kids is dedicated to improving the lives of disadvantaged children and young people across the UK from the moment they’re born up to and including the age of 18.

Their mission is to be there when they need them the most, helping combat poverty, illness and neglect, making living with additional needs that little bit easier, or simply offering a helping hand.

Cash for Kids work together with businesses, charities and community groups that share their vision so they can make a difference to families with nowhere else to turn, by providing grant funding year-round and Christmas gifts during the festive season.

Cash for kids raised £21.5 million in 2024, supporting 583,957 children.

General Grants

Available to registered charities, community groups and individuals. Funds will support children and young people (up to and including 18 years old) living in our community affected by poverty, abuse, neglect or those with additional support needs.

The value of a general Cash for Kids grant is typically from £1,000 to £3,000 but we will consider applications for smaller or larger amounts.

Please read the General Grants Eligibility Criteria before applying.

Holiday Hunger

Holiday Hunger Grants are available to groups, organisations and service providers. They must support children and young people (up to and including 18 years old) that have a genuine need for support, are disadvantaged due to poverty, the increase in the cost-of-living and face food insecurity.

This funding is specifically to provide disadvantaged children and young people who have a lack of access to food AND activities in the school holidays. Projects must focus on outcomes that encourage children to eat more healthily and be more active during the school holidays.

Please read the Holiday Hunger Grants Eligibility Criteria, available here, and here (West of Scotland only) before applying.

Children’s Mental Health

Supporting initiatives working to improve the mental health of our young people.

Please read the Eligibility Criteria before applying.
