Dr Guthrie’s Association exists for the betterment of children and young people. It provides financial support for not-for-profit organisations that care for economically and socially disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland, giving preference to those residing in the Edinburgh area.
Priority will be given to small local organisations that:
Generally, about £90,000 is available for distribution each year and the grants are usually limited to £2,000 or less. Priority will be given to smaller charities whose small grants can make a difference and who may find it difficult to obtain funds elsewhere.
The deadline for applications is 25th January, May and September. After consideration, awards are generally made by the trustees around two months later.
