Designed to be accessible and supportive, particularly for organisations new to government funding, the GSF offers grants of up to £50,000 across three funding streams:
- Scottish Civil Society Organisation (CSO) Strengthening Grant: (up to £10,000). Aimed at ensuring Scotland’s small iNGOs are safe, resilient and effective in delivering against their mission. Funding is available for supporting Scottish based CSOs working in any country with medium/ low development status.
- Global Citizenship Engagement Grant: (up to £5,000). Aimed at small charities and social enterprises, (£2,000 for unaffiliated groups). This funding aims to increase understanding of and participation in global citizenship predominately, but not limited to, the public in Scotland.
- Shifting the Power Grant: (up to £50,000). Aimed at providing opportunities for small Scottish iNGOs to work with partners towards a locally led model of development. This funding is for Scottish based CSOs working with partners in Malawi, Zambia or Rwanda.
