Funding
SSEN Powering Communities to Net Zero Fund

The fund has a value of £3m and runs annually, concluding in Spring 2028.

Half the fund is made available to enable communities to apply for grants that will bolster community-led physical and environmental resilience measures.

The other half is for non-profit organisations to apply for grants to go towards the purchase of new Low-Carbon Technologies.

Who can apply?

Community groups based within the SSEN distribution area.
You don’t need to be a registered charity to apply, but your organisation must have a constitution (governing document or set of rules) and be set up on a not-for-profit basis. If you are unsure if your group is eligible, please contact for advice.

To be eligible for funding, your project must benefit communities that lie wholly within the Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) area. Check who your distribution network operator is.
