Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) is proud to launch this new fund to support communities during prolonged power interruptions caused by storms, aid their ability to cope in periods of severe weather, and support the adoption of new low-carbon technologies. The fund is split into two categories:

Low Carbon Technology Fund

Community-led Physical and Environmental Resilience Fund

Who can apply?

Community groups based within the SSEN distribution area.
You don’t need to be a registered charity to apply, but your organisation must have a constitution (governing document or set of rules) and be set up on a not-for-profit basis. If you are unsure if your group is eligible, please contact for advice.

To be eligible for funding, your project must benefit communities that lie wholly within the Scottish & Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN) area. Check who your distribution network operator is.
