This research project is UK-wide and looking for young people to join their Young People’s Advisory Group. They’re looking for young people who are 11 to 25 years old, have a long-term health condition and have had/or having support from a youth worker in a health-based setting.  Researchers want to make sure they have representation from across the UK, and a diverse representation on the Young People Advisory Group.

The research project will run over 30 months. During this time there will be six 6 meetings of the Young People’s Advisory Group. During these meetings young people will advise on how to carry out the research and help design materials to feedback its findings.

They are flexible in their approach to attendance at these meetings and want to do a mixture of face to face, online and one-to-one if this is preferred. Young people will be paid for their time and any expenses, such as travel and accommodation.

As a research team, they will be finding out what health-based youth work services are out there, where they are, what they do and how they are funded. Most importantly the research will also find out what young people think about them.

Researchers want to support and shape future youth services in health settings, by recommending from the research, the best approach in setting up and maintaining these services.

If you are interested in being a part of this, please complete the application form and return to Nicola.rigby@mft.nhs.uk by Sunday 3rd November.
