Bill Stevenson Appointed as Interim Chairperson

At our AGM on 26th November, Bill Stevenson was appointed as Interim Chairperson replacing Angela Leitch CBE who stepped down after three years as our Chair. Bill will hold the role of Interim Chair as we seek a new chairperson for YouthLink Scotland. A sub-group of the Board is considering the recruitment process for that.

We are delighted that Bill has taken up this role and is continuing in his role as Honorary Treasurer, with Sophie Reid as Vice Chairperson.

Bill has had a long career in the sector and was originally a board member at the Scottish Council for Voluntary Youth Organisations, before YouthLink Scotland was formed. He is currently the General Manager for the Global Fellowship and is a member of the Duke of Edinburgh Scotland’s advisory board.  He was formerly the UK CEO/Brigade Secretary of The Boys’ Brigade from 2016 – 2019.
