Bite Back's Youth Board seeking young Scots

Bite Back 2030, a youth activist movement for a healthier and fairer food system, is currently recruiting young people in Scotland aged 14-16 to join their Youth Board.

As a member of the Youth Board, their participation might involve:

• Speaking with or writing for local media — newspapers, radio or television.
• Meeting their local MP, MSPs, councillors or business leaders.
• Organising a stunt, petition or campaign to raise awareness of the issues they care about.
• Making creative social media content to spread the word about their campaign.
• Doing research into the food system in their local community.
• Developing their skills including: public speaking, team building, leadership, writing, networking amongst many others.
• Meeting new people and forging new friendships.

They welcome applications from young people eligible for free school meals, from minority ethnic backgrounds, and from the Highlands & Islands.

All expenses are covered for those selected, and there are plenty of opportunities for growth and personal development throughout the year.

Applications are open now, and the deadline for Scottish applicants is 16th February 2026.
