Disclosure Act: Sessions to Support You!

To support you as changes are implemented Volunteer Scotland has introduced information sessions and drop-in sessions to give you the opportunity to learn more about the new legislation, understand how to prepare for working with the Disclosure Act, and ask any questions you may have about the changes.

April 2025 will see the implementation of a new law, the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020. This will change the disclosure process for every group that is currently accessing disclosure checks, and for some groups that are not, as well as impacting on the volunteers/staff that you disclosure check. To prepare for the forthcoming changes Volunteer Scotland Disclosure Services will be running information sessions and drop-in sessions about the major changes in the disclosure process and how these will impact on your group and volunteers/staff.

Information Sessions

These sessions will give you the opportunity to learn about the new legislation and how you can prepare for working with the new Disclosure Act, provide you a chance to ask any questions you may have about the implementation of the Disclosure Act in 2025, as well as how to work with the current disclosure legislation. Various dates available.

Drop-in Sessions

These informal online sessions will give you the opportunity to chat with a member of the training team about the Disclosure Act and upcoming changes. These sessions are free to attend and no booking required. You’re welcome to join anytime during the scheduled session. Various dates available.

The team at Volunteer Scotland is available to assist you with any questions or additional support you may need regarding the implementation of the Disclosure Act. Contact them via email here.
