We are pleased to offer a unique course on Participatory Budgeting and Grant Making, designed for young change-makers, volunteers, and individuals working across community development, public services, and local governance.  This programme provides a clear and thorough introduction to the principles, background, and practical application of these approaches, with a focus on strengthening local democracy and supporting more equitable distribution of resources.

Through five structured learning outcomes, participants will build knowledge and practical skills in inclusive engagement, innovative budgeting methods, and understanding the impact of inequality on participation. The course combines self‑directed study, multimedia learning materials, and reflective portfolio development, supported by short assessments to consolidate learning.

The course is online and free for volunteers, those working in community‑focused roles, and community council board members.
