Fast Forward and The Space have developed a toolkit to support the Roma community. Designed for people working with Roma community, it has been translated into the two main languages spoken by the Roma people (Romanian and Slovak) for broader accessibility.
Fast Forward are delighted to publish their Roma toolkit, coproduced with women from within the community, to help anyone supporting the Roma community around gambling harm.
Through their partnership with The Space, Fast Forward knew that members of the Roma community in Scotland were already at risk of gambling harm, even though virtually no research had been carried out. To help address these harms, this toolkit was created to help build an understanding of terms and concepts used in gaming, in addition to similarities between gaming and gambling. It includes useful resources for parents, carers and those working with children and young people.
The toolkit is available in English, Romanian and Slovakian to represent the largest Roma communities in that part of Glasgow.
