Generation Scotland Needs Your Help

Could you help Generation Scotland recruit more young people to their mental and physical health study? Find out more…

Generation Scotland is a mental and physical health study with over 40,000 volunteers across Scotland, helping scientists understand, prevent, and treat conditions, including mental health, cancer, reproductive health, genetic disorders and more. Anyone over 12 living in Scotland can volunteer remotely, and volunteers aged 12-18 receive a £20 e-voucher for their time.

We really cannot understand the health of young people and work towards cures without young people being involved in the first place and they are sadly often under-represented in health research. So many conditions start a lot earlier than 18 and Generation Scotland have therefore been working really hard over the last few years with young advisors (young people really have been at the heart of everything they have done) trying to improve systems, removing barriers and finding ways to include more young people in the study, but all of this takes time and they now only have a few months left to join.

Here’s young volunteer Zak highlighting why Generation Scotland need more young people: https://youtube.com/shorts/xAVaAGyxrb0?feature=share.
