Into Film Filmmaking Competition

Into Film is currently working with Universal Pictures to develop a new education resource to support the exciting release of Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey, in cinemas on 17th July. The resource and competition will go live on 4th June and is aimed at young people aged over 15 years.

Into Film will be running a national competition that invites young people to make the everyday epic: Inspired by the colossal scale of The Odyssey, this competition challenges young creatives to bring grand storytelling vision to an everyday event from their lives and reimagine it as an epic tale. Young people can choose their preferred medium – drawing, filmmaking, or writing  (6 illustrations, 6 shots, or 600 words) – channeling the innovation and ambition of Christopher Nolan to make the everyday epic. The best entry will win a brand-new Apple iPad and Sony ZV-E10 vlogging camera, and two runners up will each receive a The Odyssey merchandise pack.

There are exciting prizes on offer and the competition is open throughout the summer holidays, closing on Friday 4th September. As the film has been certified as suitable for 15 years and over, they are particularly interested in engaging with age groups of 15-19 where possible.

Into Film will be distributing film branded activity packs and they’d love to know if you’d like to receive a pack to use with young people throughout the summer. Each pack includes a bumper set of competition sheets, a The Odyssey movie poster and a set of film-themed postcards.
