We’re delighted to share our new online learning platform, available through the YouthLink Scotland website.
Building on the fantastic and varied training we offer in person and in online workshops, we’re responding to your need to be able to access training at times that suit you, fitting around busy life and work schedules. We’ll still be providing lots of training opportunities in workshops as before, but now you’ll be able to access complementary courses at a time that suits you.
The first e-learning offer we have available are the Introduction to Youth Work e-learning modules, with modules covering the content of the National Youth Work Induction Checklist, providing a rounded introduction to youth work. They can be used to add to initial training within your organisation, or as a standalone introduction to the concepts, values, principles and practice within youth work.
The modules are self-paced, with an opportunity to come together on an online call to discuss and reflect with other people doing the Induction. We’re recruiting the first cohort to take part in this pilot. This is suitable for youth work volunteers and staff (full time, part time, sessional).
We will be running the next welcome session for this cohort on 8th April.
