Scotland’s #IWill movement and youth ambassadors were officially recognised by MSPs in a member’s debate sponsored by the SNP’s Jackie Dunbar, MSP for Aberdeen Donside.
The debate on Wednesday 7 December shone a spotlight on youth volunteering, campaigning and activism, and the role youth workers have in supporting young people to have their voices heard and push for the change they want to see.
There was clear support for the aims of #IWillScotland and MSPs were encouraged to sign the Power of Youth Charter which asks organisations and politicians to commit to the meaningful participation of young people in all areas of decision making.
