Readiness to Learn Survey Opportunity for Young People Aged 11-18

Do you work with young people aged 11-18? Then we’d love to hear their thoughts about Readiness to Learn in our survey. Their feedback will help inform Scottish Government’s next steps with the Scottish Attainment Challenge and related policies. The survey is open until 15th March.

In September 2025, organisations working with Scottish Government on the Scottish Attainment Challenge held an online national event all about what young people need to be ready to learn. Child Poverty Action Group, Young Scot, YouthLink Scotland and CELCIS brought together 87 practitioners, including equity leads, attainment advisors, teachers, youth workers, and Scottish Government staff.

The aim of the event was to discuss how the adults working with young people could better support children and young people to be ready to learn.

Young Scot have created this survey so young people can give their feedback to check if they think the adults have discussed the right things and focused on the most important areas relating to young people being ready to learn.

Young people can complete the survey here to earn 150 Young Scot Reward Points or complete the survey directly via this link.
