The Scottish Attainment Challenge Framework for Recovering and Accelerating Progress supports schools, local authorities and others across the education system to support educational recovery and increase progress in improving outcomes for children and young people impacted by poverty.

It recognises the need to reflect the breadth of achievements and experiences and the importance of health and wellbeing to contribute to improved outcomes for children and young people. As such, collaboration with community and national youth work partners is encouraged when head teachers are developing PEF plans and to support strategic planning at local authority level. Youth work practitioners may find resources developed through YouthLink Scotland’s SAC national programme helpful when working in partnership with schools.
