SPARC Responsible Outdoor Access Competition

Competition Overview

Organisers: RHET, Police Scotland, Scottish Partnership Against Rural Crime.
Target Group: Youth groups and schools.

Theme

Focus on responsible dog walking and respect for farm animals.
Highlight the impact of dog attacks on livestock, especially during pregnancy, and on ground-nesting birds.
Highlight the Scottish Outdoor Access Code

All creative formats accepted including:

Video (up to 90 seconds)

Guidelines

Collaborate with RHET Project Coordinators, Police Campus Officers, and local nature reserves for inspiration and support.
Ensure consent from anyone appearing in videos.
Use the Scottish Outdoor Access Code and the Police Scotland website for guidance on rights and responsibilities.

Announcement of Winners: At the Royal Highland Show in June 2025

Judging

Initial judging at the local level, with regional winners advancing to national judging.
