STEM CLD Survey 2023

Each year, this survey helps shape the future of professional learning in science, technology, engineering and maths. This year, responses are especially important since they’ll be used to track the overall impact of the STEM Strategy since it started in 2017. This survey closes on 18th December.

Education Scotland invite you to complete the annual STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) survey. The survey relates to STEM-related CLD for the period 1st August 2022 until 31st July 2023.

The purpose of the survey is to help find out what the STEM-related professional learning priorities are for CLD practitioners. ‘STEM’ may not be a term CLD workers regularly use to describe their work but Education Scotland know that many community-based educators are using a wide range of STEM-related opportunities. They also know CLD practitioners offer opportunities for people of all ages and backgrounds to develop their STEM confidence and skills in less formal settings.

Your response will play a crucial role in shaping the on-going direction of the the National STEM Education and Training Strategy. It will also help track increases and improvements in the provision of CLD practitioners over the lifetime of the STEM Strategy (2017-2025). The survey should take around 7 mins to complete. The survey closes on 18th December.

Who should complete this survey?
CLD practitioners including youth workers, community workers, family learning workers and adult learning educators from across both the public, and third sectors.
