A Member of the Scottish Youth Parliament is undertaking a consultation to understand how 16 and 17-year-olds are treated during a mental health crisis. This focuses specifically on emergency situations, rather than ongoing support or CAMHS waiting lists.

The consultation aims to gather lived experience at a critical stage in a young person’s life. Initial research suggests that access to support can vary depending on NHS Board and educational status.

The findings will be used in a motion at the 84th Scottish Youth Parliament Sitting and help inspire a wider grassroots campaign.

The survey is anonymous and will take 5–10 minutes to complete. It is open to young people aged 16 and 17, or those reflecting on experiences at that age.

Please share this survey with young people you work with.
