The My Rights, My Say Young Advisors Group are Looking for New Recruits!

Do you know someone who would make a good MRMS Young Advisor? Children in Scotland are looking for some new faces to join the MRMS Young Advisors team. The group meet in person and online and take part in activities to share views on topics related to additional support for learning.

Who are the Young Advisors?

The Young Advisors are a group of young people working together to shape the My Rights My Say Service and share their views on additional support for learning.

What is My Rights, My Say?

My Rights, My Say helps 12–15-year-olds with additional support needs to use their rights and have a say in decisions about their education.

The service is free, confidential, and completely independent

Who can join?

Children in Scotland are looking for young people who are:

They would love to hear from young people who have used the My Rights, My Say service before, but they don’t need to have used it to become a Young Advisor.

What will it involve?

As a member of the group, young people attend in-person and online Young Advisor meetings. They will take part in activities where they can share their views on topics relating to additional support for learning.  These views and ideas will be shared with people in charge of making big decisions, like the Scottish Government.

Being part of the group is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of children and young people, learn new skills, meet new people, and have fun!

At meetings, young people can choose how they would like to take part in activities, and the team at Children in Scotland will support them to share their views.
