The Bytes Project requires training services for the Voices for Impact platform. This platform empowers young people to share their views on important themes which are aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The tender is funded as part of the Special EU Programmes Body (SEUPB) 6.1 Building and Embedding Partnership and Collaboration theme. The site is available at Voices For Impact.
The Voices for Impact platform is designed to provide a digital space for young people to voice their perspectives on specific themes within a 90-second response window. The platform is structured around six United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs):
The primary objectives of this tender include:
Collaborate:
Work with the seven project partners to lead the development of a training package that will work across each jurisdiction, enabling youth leaders (both workers and volunteers) and educators to understand how to effectively use the Voices for Impact platform.
Promote:
Lead on the promotion of the training package for recruitment, including utilising the existing networks/membership of the partners within their jurisdiction and manage the registration process.
Resources:
Resources have been created by the partnership to enable youth leaders or educators to deliver age-appropriate group work sessions to young people on each of the 6 themes (These will be available on the platform website). This will complement and improve the data collected through the questionnaires. Ensure the training package aligns with these resources and provide the toolkit of resources to those who attend.Training
Sessions:
Deliver nine training sessions, each lasting 4 hours, with a minimum of 30 attendees per session across the four jurisdictions (Total of 270 youth leaders or educators trained).
The sessions can be a mixture of in-person and online, with a minimum of one in-person session per jurisdiction (overall a minimum of 4 in-person sessions).
These sessions will help youth leaders and educators:
Navigate the platform, so they can aid children and young people in accessing and using the site to share their views.
Understand and use the data for the platform effectively. This includes how to filter on the site and how to open creative conversation on the data.
Present the data effectively in a range of settings i.e. local communities or policy officials.
They want the data to empower young people, youth leaders and educators to shape views by putting words onto the numbers.
Build their wider knowledge of the SDGs.
Accessibility and Inclusion:
Ensure that all training activities are inclusive and accessible to a diverse range of participants, throughout the design and delivery of training sessions.
Networking:
Provide opportunities for youth leaders and educators to network, develop professionally, enhance their commitment to children and young people and spark energy on the key role of participation in youth services and education.
The tender is to be delivered over a one-year period.
