Turning the Tide 2025

About the programme

Running from January to April 2025, TTT equips young people with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to have a say in how our seas are managed. This free programme includes:

• Online modules: Six live modules covering essential topics, including policy-making and effective communication with decision-makers.
• Mentorship: Three individual mentoring sessions with YSCS experienced team.
• Peer connections: Access to a growing community of young marine advocates via YSCS Discord server.
• Community Gathering: Guaranteed participation in YSCS in-person gathering in September.
• Skill development: Develop teamwork, communication, and advocacy skills for future opportunities.

Who can join?

The programme is open to young people aged 16-25 in Scotland who are passionate about taking action for our seas.

They are particularly keen to hear from young people who are currently underrepresented in the marine sector, such as those from ethnic minority or lower-income backgrounds.

Introductory session

Young Sea Changers Scotland is hosting a free online session on December 5th at 5:30 PM, where young people can learn more about TTT and hear from past participants. Details of this can be found here.
