The University of the West of Scotland’s Community Education degree programme is looking for the following:
- Meaningful practice learning placement opportunities for students. Students can be such a boost to any organisation, bringing what they have learned in university to the workplace; and they can be an asset when working with groups in the community. Are you able to place a student with your organisation?
- Would you like to study with them, and/or do you know someone who would like to study with them? Your organisation may have employees/volunteers/primary clients who would enjoy the BA (Hons) Community Education degree programme to enhance their professional learning. UWS have a particularly exciting new element to their degree programme where students can choose one of two routes – Community Education, or Community Education (TESOL/ESOL) which means they could leave with a qualification for tutoring students for whom English is not their first language.
- Are you CLD qualified? If so, would you like to mentor Practice Learning Placement Supervisors? This mentoring role is a great personal development opportunity, and you will be supported all the way.
