Young People, Data and Research Project

Information about young people gets collected all the time, but how often do young people actually get a say in how that happens or what is done with it? Children in Scotland and the Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research are teaming up with a group of researchers who want to hear the thoughts of young people and help shape future data research. Apply by 24th September.

Children in Scotland and the Scottish Centre for Administrative Data Research (SCADR) are inviting young people aged 14-21 to take part in an exciting new project about data and research.

Together, the group will explore:

It’s a chance to work young people to work together, share ideas, and help make research more relevant, inclusive, and interesting for everyone.

What’s involved?

Young people will take part in four sessions that will be a mix of online and in-person they will be packed with different activities all about data and information.

No prior knowledge is needed to join in, just enthusiasm and ideas.

It’s really easy  for young people to get involved. They just need to send information on themselves:

Applications are welcome in whatever format works best – it could be an email, a short video, a presentation, or even a piece of artwork. Please send this information to Abbey Stone at Children in Scotland.
