The Adolescent Health Study is looking for young people (aged 12-17) who are interested in joining an advisory group to help researchers make decisions about what the study should look and feel like. The deadline for applications is 30th August.
The Adolescent Health Study is a major new research project focused on understanding the development, health and wellbeing of young people. Supported by £60 million from UK Research and Innovation, the upcoming study aims to recruit 100,000 young people within the age range 8-18 years and follow them for at least 10 years.
The Young People’s Advisory Group (or YPAG as it’s sometimes called) will be a group of up to 12 young people who researchers will meet regularly to ask for their views and opinions about different aspects of the study. These young people will play a key role in helping shape the study. There are so many decisions to be made and questions to be answered, and researchers believe it’s important to involve young people in making these decisions.
