YouthLink Scotland Annual Report 2023/24: A Year of Impact and Progress

YouthLink Scotland has released its 2023-2024 Annual Report, marking 21 years of championing Scotland’s youth work sector.

Despite challenges like political changes, economic pressures,  we have delivered key achievements and strengthened our role as the national agency for youth work and a vital intermediary.

Highlights include:

• Over 2,500 learning opportunities delivered across 130 sessions, benefiting over 500 organisations.
• A refreshed Youth Work Outcomes and Skills Framework, with 200+ practitioners trained.
• Securing new funding partnerships, such as the Youth Arts Open Fund, directly benefiting over 5,400 young people.
• Launching resources including the ‘Imagine a Man’ Toolkit addressing harmful masculinity.
• Initiatives like Scotland’s Young People’s Forest earned national recognition, while policy contributions and international collaborations bolstered the sector’s influence.

Looking forward, YouthLink Scotland remains focused on tackling child poverty, mental health, and educational inequalities, ensuring every young person in Scotland benefits from high-quality youth work.
