In 2024, we published our report on Youth Work and Volunteering, consulting with young people and youth work practitioners to highlight the benefits of a youth work approach to volunteering.

A number of young people we spoke to told us that their volunteering experience helped them to build a stronger sense of connection to their local community. By promoting skills development and community engagement through volunteering, youth work supports young people to become valuable and engaged members of our society.
