YouthLink Scotland’s Youth Work and Schools Partnerships team has developed a new set of resources and a training offer to support practical, skills-based approach to collaborative evaluation, built around the National Youth Work Outcomes and Skills Framework.
We have a growing body of evidence to demonstrate that youth work teams are working effectively alongside school partners to improve health and wellbeing, readiness to learn and educational outcomes for children and young people. That said, teachers and youth works still tell us that developing straightforward, robust processes for joint evaluation can be challenging.
With this in mind, YouthLink Scotland’s Youth Work and Schools Partnerships team has developed a new set of resources and a training offer to support practical, skills-based approach to collaborative evaluation, built around the National Youth Work Outcomes and Skills Framework. The resources provide advice and a range of tools and examples from practice that you can adapt and use in your context and are designed to be used along with our other Scottish Attainment Challenge Professional Learning Resources.
We’ll be running a Youth Work and Schools Collaborative session on 19th July from 2pm to 3pm to provide an overview these new resources, and support a discussion about capacity building to support joint impact evaluation with schools
As we launch this new toolkit, we’re also offering training to help youth work practitioners who want to strengthen their approach to impact evaluation with schools. Training can be tailored to meet your needs in your local setting. Youth workers and teachers tell us that this support can be valuable in establishing a clear focus for joint evaluation and new ways of working together. To discuss your what would be most helpful in your context, please contact Gill Gracie.
