YouthLink Scotland is starting a project, funded by Scottish Government, to bring young people’s voices into the public consultation on Scottish Government’s new draft climate change plan, through youth work, and we’re recruiting for youth groups to be involved.

We’re going to work with nine youth groups to give support and training to run sessions with young people about the climate change plan and consult them on how they think it should be implemented best and most fairly. We will collate reports from the youth groups involved and feed that back to Scottish Government.

We’re looking for groups in:

We’ll provide training, support and funding of £1500 to cover staff time as well as funding for travel and subsistence for young people to take part and vouchers to thank them for their participation.

The timeframe is short as all of the consultation activity needs to be complete and reported back before the end of January.

Please send an expression of interest form (below) to Liz Green asap, and by 6pm on 27th November at the latest.
