The UK Government has launched its public consultation on social media and mobile phones. The consultation seeks views on issues such as setting a minimum age for social media use, the digital age of consent, curfews, and addictive design features. The deadline for responses is 26th May.

The UK Government has launched its public consultation on social media and mobile phones. The consultation seeks views on issues such as setting a minimum age for social media use, the digital age of consent, curfews, and addictive design features.

Anyone with a view is invited to take part, including young people, parents and carers, professionals working with children, civil society organisations, academics, and industry.

The consultation is open until 11.59 pm on 26th May, and the UK Government expects to publish its response in the summer of this year.
