This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

We also run a number of National Grants Programmes, designed with and for the youth work sector in Scotland, distributing over £1m each year to youth work organisations across the country. You can contact us if you have any questions about our funding programmes.

The Woodward Charitable Trust
Provides grants to organisations supporting disadvantaged families with young children up to age 11, and organisations that work directly with children of the same age group (0-11 years). At least 75% of your organisation’s work must align with this focus. The grant round for 2025 is now closed.

Supports grassroots organisations in making a real impact, and supports local communities in emergencies, reacting quickly to help people in the immediate hours following a disaster.

John Watson's Trust
The Trust awards educational grants to the benefit of those aged 21 or under who are in a situation of disadvantage and/or have additional support needs.

Scotmid Community Grants Scheme
Applications are welcome from local communities, self-help or voluntary groups and charities (including local branches of national charities) or individuals acting for the benefit of the local community. No deadlines for applications.

Scottish International Education Trust
Supporting individuals that contribute to the cultural, social or economic wellbeing of Scotland or improve the Scottish environment. No deadlines for applications.

Creative Scotland - Youth Music Initiative: Strengthening Youth Music
Creating access to high quality music making opportunities for young people aged 0-25, particularly for those that would not normally have the chance to participate.

Scottish Schools Pipe and Drums Trust - Open Grant Fund
This Trust develops sustainable, high quality programmes that include everyone who wants to learn. They provide cash grants usually on a match-funded basis, and work closely with schools, communities and councils to design successful programmes that attract high numbers of pupils and that give them enriching experiences.

KFC Foundation Community Grants Programme
If you are a small organisation in the UK (income under £400k) who are empowering financially disadvantaged young people aged 11-25 to break the barriers to aspiration, then find out more...  Applications usually open every January for a four week window.

Youth Music NextGen Fund
The Youth Music NextGen Fund offers emerging creatives grants of up to £3,000 to make their ideas happen.

Shackleton Foundation
Provides seed funding and support to early-stage social ventures with a primary focus on benefiting young people in the UK. A single grant of up to £15,000 to support leaders with innovative social ideas aimed at generating positive social change for disadvantaged and socially marginalised young people. Dates for 2026 will be updated in December.

The Archer Trust
A UK Christian charitable grant-making trust which supports small UK charities for whom a grant of between £250 and £3,000 will make a big difference. Trustees normally meet in March and September.

BBC Children in Need Project Costs
As part of their ongoing commitment to improving systems and processes, BBC Children in Need are transitioning to a new grantmaking system. This transition will take place throughout 2025 and the new system will be launched by the end of October. During this period there will be some disruption to grant programmes.
