This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

We also run a number of National Grants Programmes, designed with and for the youth work sector in Scotland, distributing over £1m each year to youth work organisations across the country. You can contact us if you have any questions about our funding programmes.

OneCity Trust
Supports activities which bring people who are impacted by poverty and social isolation together in ways which are creative, impactful and have the potential to have a lasting legacy. Any registered Scottish charity or constituted community group, provided they are based in Edinburgh and focus their activities within the city boundary can apply.

The Robertson Trust - Large Grants
Large Grants are for registered charities working in Scotland with an annual income of over £200,000 and up to £2 million, that support people who are experiencing (or are at high risk of experiencing) poverty and trauma.

Shared Care Scotland - Creative Breaks
The Creative Breaks programme provides 12-month grants to third sector organisations to develop and deliver short breaks projects and services for carers of adults (aged 21 years and over), young carers (caring for children or adults), and those that they care for.

An independent grant-making foundation dedicated to empowering individuals with disabilities or significant disadvantages to reach their full potential.

The Lintel Trust Small Grant Programme
The Lintel Trust Small Grant Programme
The Lintel Trust provides support for projects helping people to maintain their tenancies, improve their lives and participate fully in community life. Most projects funded offer support to those who are excluded from community activities. The next deadline is 29th April.

Austin and Hope Pilkington Trust
The Trust gives grants to registered charities that work in the UK. Grant rounds for this year include people experiencing or at risk of homelessness - focussing on projects that provide life skills, including food education, healthy living and budgeting. Priority will be given to people leaving the armed forces, leaving prison or care. The next deadline is 30th April.

Essentia Foundation
Financial support to charities and community groups to help achieve the following objectives: Improved health and social welfare of children and young people up to the age of 25 years old; and Increased opportunities for training, enhancing learning, upskilling, and developing career opportunities, and supporting young people up to the age of 25 years old to move towards employment. The next deadline is 1st June.

The 7stars Foundation
Grants are targeted to further the potential and opportunity of children and young people who are surviving abuse, at risk of or experiencing homelessness, caring for a loved one, and challenged by addiction (either personally or through a member of their family). No deadlines for the Apprenticeships funding stream. The child poverty funding stream is due to open on 1st June. Deadlines for other funding streams to be confirmed.

Cruden Foundation
While the Cruden Foundation’s Directors’ discretion is wide, their constitution requires them to support registered charities mainly benefitting people living in Scotland. There is a strong focus on community welfare, medical support and research, the arts, education and conservation. The next deadline for appeals is Tuesday 2nd June.

The Prudence Trust - Young Women in Mind 2026-2028
Young Women in Mind is a collaborative funding programme set up by the Pilgrim Trust, the Prudence Trust and the Julia Rausing Trust to support charities to strengthen and scale effective, age-appropriate, and gender‑informed mental health support for girls and young women aged 14–25 in the UK. The deadline for stage one applications is 22nd June.

The Adamson Trust
The Trust provides financial assistance to help finance holidays, including respite care, for physically and mentally disabled children (aged 3 to 17 years), with preference being given to those locally resident in Scotland. 30th June.

The Magdalen Hospital Trust
Funding for projects working with vulnerable children and young adults, especially those at risk of sexual and other forms of exploitation. Projects can include those that provide: training for work and personal development, clubs and play schemes, safeguarding education, mental health support and counselling and emergency care.
