This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

We also run a number of National Grants Programmes, designed with and for the youth work sector in Scotland, distributing over £1m each year to youth work organisations across the country. You can contact us if you have any questions about our funding programmes.

The Nuffield Foundation - Racial Diversity UK Fund
The Racial Diversity UK programme aims to be broad in its reach, interested in questions of socio-economic equality, senses of place, belonging and identity, barriers to and opportunities for inclusion, demographic trajectories, and the interrelationship between these themes. Applications can be made at any time but shortlisting takes place once a year – in Autumn.

Three Guineas - Holiday Activity Schemes for Autistic Children and Young People
This scheme provides grants of up to £15,000 for autistic-specific holiday schemes for autistic children and young people, and their siblings, which run in the school holidays. Grants are usually for part of the costs.

The Health Lottery Foundation - Community Choice Grants
Community Choice gives passionate people working with small charities and CICs all over Britain the chance to secure a grant of £1,000 for their organisation. You can nominate if you work with a charity or CIC that has activities that improve health and wellbeing in Scotland. The next round will open in the summer.

The National Lottery Community Fund (Scotland) - Young Start Fund - Main Grants
Grants of £20,001 to £150,000 for up to 3 years. Young Start Main Grants has 4 new outcomes. Projects must help children and young people: learn more about themselves or other people; take action on issues that matter to them; build positive relationships that improve their wellbeing; learn skills that help them feel more confident for the future. SP Energy Networks - Community Benefit Funding Programme
Community organisations based near eligible electricity transmission infrastructure projects will be able to apply for local and grassroots grants to deliver initiatives supporting local communities. If your community is based within one of the eligible areas, you will be able to apply for upskilling events and tailored workshops that can help your community build capacity and explore bespoke solutions to local challenges.

The community fund is for projects within the Clyde wind farm area. The small grant scheme (less than £10,000) and the community fund (grants over £10,000) provide financial support for capital projects that meet priorities such as relief/prevention of poverty; provision of facilities for recreation or other leisure time activities; the advancement of citizenship or community development). This funding is for projects that will improve the health of unpaid carers by supporting work that both reduces the unfair and avoidable differences in health for unpaid carers and addresses the root cause of the long-term problems, not just the symptoms.
