This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

John Watson's Trust
The Trust awards educational grants to the benefit of those aged 21 or under who are in a situation of disadvantage and/or have additional support needs. The next deadline is 22nd May.

Charles Hayward Foundation - Social and Criminal Justice
The overall aims of this funding in the social and criminal justice area are to prevent people entering the criminal justice system and to support those already in the system to move on and rebuild their lives. The next deadline is 22nd May.

Dr Guthrie’s Association
Funding is available for not-for-profit organisations that support economically and socially disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland (giving preference to those residing in the Edinburgh area). The next deadline is 25th May.

The Ethnic Minority Development Fund
Organisations can apply for between £500-£15,000 for their project idea which aims to bring ethnic minority people together and build strong relationships across communities and improve places/spaces that matter to ethnic minority communities. The deadline for applications is 26th May.

Barclays Community Sport Fund
The programme’s focus is on increasing access to football, tennis, and cricket for women and girls, as well as engaging people from other underrepresented groups, including racially diverse communities, people with disabilities, and people from the LGBTQ+ community. The next deadline is 27th May.

SafeDeposits Scotland Community Fund
Designed to provide small grants (£5,000) to projects enhancing communities across Scotland. This fund supports a wide range of projects from enhancing play areas to planting trees, and from providing isolated individuals with social opportunities and helping young people prepare for work. The next deadline is 29th May.

Cruden Foundation
While the Cruden Foundation’s Directors’ discretion is wide, their constitution requires them to support registered charities mainly benefitting people living in Scotland. There is a strong focus on community welfare, medical support and research, the arts, education and conservation. The next deadline for appeals is Tuesday 2nd June.

Grants for Good Fund
Direct funding  to small and growing local charities, voluntary groups or social enterprises that are making a big impact on communities, people or the environment. Every three months, five shortlisted projects will be voted for by John Good Group employees. These five charities will all receive a share of £15,000. The next deadline is 15th June.

Stafford Trust
The Trust will consider applications for grants from charities registered in the United Kingdom, with preference being given to charitable organisations operating in Scotland. They fund local community projects and child welfare projects. The next deadline os 30th June.

The Adamson Trust
The Trust provides financial assistance to help finance holidays, including respite care, for physically and mentally disabled children (aged 3 to 17 years), with preference being given to those locally resident in Scotland. 30th June.

DWF Foundation
The foundation supports homelessness, health and wellbeing, employability, education, environment and sustainability. It particularly helps with initiatives that develop and improve local communities. Applications will be accepted at any time and will be presented at the next committee meeting. Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation
The Charitable Foundation accepts nominations from Yorkshire Building Society members and colleagues. Donations range from £250 to £2,500. It particularly welcomes nominations from charities that are working in areas of deprivation, and charities that have an income turnover of less than £100,000. The next deadline is 30th June.
