This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

We also run a number of National Grants Programmes, designed with and for the youth work sector in Scotland, distributing over £1m each year to youth work organisations across the country. You can contact us if you have any questions about our funding programmes.

Barcapel Foundation
The Foundation supports charitable work and endeavours in Scotland. The three priority areas of interest for funding are health, heritage, and youth (donations in this area span all aspects of assisting children and young adults, although they are particularly keen to support those from socially and financially disadvantaged backgrounds).

The core objective of Digital Xtra is to inspire young people to learn digital technologies skills through high quality, exciting extracurricular activities, thus expanding Scotland’s future talent pipeline. Applications for the 2025/26 academic year are now closed.

Provides financial and educational support for young people and European youth activities, that promote the organisation's fundamental values. Deadlines for 2024 are: 15th January and 15th May.

Supports a wide range of charities that make a positive difference, working in different sectors in the UK. These include welfare, youth, community, environment, education, health, arts, heritage and faith. No deadlines for applications.

Hedley Foundation
Trustees seek to help and improve the quality of life of people in the UK, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds. This is achieved by making grants to registered charities for the benefit of young people, disabled people, elderly people, the terminally ill and otherwise disadvantaged people and their carers.

The Holywood Trust
The Holywood Trust
The Holywood Trust provides grants to organisations working with, and providing opportunities for young people in Dumfries and Galloway. It also provides grant support to groups of young people within an organisation in Dumfries and Galloway. Applications for less than £10,000 and for individuals can be submitted at any time. Applications for over £10,000

Happy Days Children's Charity - Group day trips and activity
Supports groups who work with young people with additional support needs to go on a group day trip or activity holiday. Applications can be made at any time.

Social Investment Fund
This Fund offers blended grant and loan investment to social enterprises, community organisations and charities working across Scotland. No deadlines for applications.

KFC Foundation Community Grants Programme
The KFC Youth Foundation is committed to backing grassroots organisations that are helping young people to thrive. Their grants programme supports youth‑focused organisations across the UK working with young people aged 11-25 in areas of high deprivation. Reopens in January 2027.

Leslie Sell Charitable Trust
The Scouting and Guiding movement can receive small grants to help with the cost of making repairs, or purchasing sundry items of equipment. It also assists groups and individuals to make trips. Apply at any time.
