Community-Led Research Collaboration
The Ideas Fund, run by the British Science Association, has announced that it is making £80,000 in funding available to improve and strengthen the support available to individuals and organisations who are delivering community-led research. The deadline for expressions of interest is 12 noon on Monday 13th October.

Legends Wanted: Glasgow 2026 Launches Search for more than 3,000 Volunteers
From supporting athletes on venue during competition, through to being a welcoming and friendly face to hundreds of thousands of spectators and media, volunteers will be at the heart of the action next year when the Games return to Glasgow from 23rd July to 2nd August.

Neighbourhoods and Communities 2024 - Findings from the Scottish Household Survey
This report draws on key data from the Scottish Household Survey (SHS 2024) to explore key findings on neighbourhoods, communities, social isolation and loneliness, and neighbourhood safety at a national level in Scotland. It also gives additional detail across various protected characteristics, and for people living in different places, such as urban and rural settings.

“Life Changed So Quickly”: Major New Research Reveals Pandemic’s Profound Impact on Children and Young People
The UK Covid-19 Inquiry commissioned Verian to undertake a project to provide an insight of children and young people’s experiences, and how they perceived the impact of the pandemic on them. The findings of this report will be used by the Inquiry to understand how children and young people felt about and adapted to changes that took place in the pandemic and their effects.

Schools - Fostering a Positive, Inclusive and Safe Environment: Guidance
This non-statutory guidance aims to support schools to foster a positive, inclusive and safe school environment through their approaches to positive relationships and behaviour. In particular, it provides clarity to all members of a school community – staff, parents and children and young people – on the use of consequences as part of relationships and behaviour policies.
