This funding directory lists hundreds of charity grants and youth work funds for practitioners, youth clubs, voluntary organisations, community projects and more.

You’ll find information on everything from small local grants for individual practitioners to national funding schemes for large-scale projects. You’ll also find information and guidance on our national funding partnerships here, including the National Voluntary Youth Organisation Support Fund.

Charles Hayward Foundation - Social and Criminal Justice
The overall aims of this funding in the social and criminal justice area are to prevent people entering the criminal justice system and to support those already in the system to move on and rebuild their lives. The next deadline is 22nd May.

Dr Guthrie’s Association
Funding is available for not-for-profit organisations that support economically and socially disadvantaged children and young people in Scotland (giving preference to those residing in the Edinburgh area). The next deadline is 25th May.

Cruden Foundation
While the Cruden Foundation’s Directors’ discretion is wide, their constitution requires them to support registered charities mainly benefitting people living in Scotland. There is a strong focus on community welfare, medical support and research, the arts, education and conservation. The next deadline for appeals is Tuesday 2nd June.

The Household Hardship Fund
This Fund provides small grants to charities, community groups and social enterprises across Scotland who can pass the funding on directly to families and children on low incomes. This fund will close when enough applications have been received to fully use the money available.

Stafford Trust
The Trust will consider applications for grants from charities registered in the United Kingdom, with preference being given to charitable organisations operating in Scotland. They fund local community projects and child welfare projects. The next deadline os 30th June.

DWF Foundation
The foundation supports homelessness, health and wellbeing, employability, education, environment and sustainability. It particularly helps with initiatives that develop and improve local communities. Applications will be accepted at any time and will be presented at the next committee meeting. The MSE Charity
Provides grants to UK non profit organisations to deliver activities which make a lasting impact on how people think, behave and manage their money. The outline for proposals for the next round opens on 6th July and closes on 13th July.

The Radcliffe Trust Music Grants
The Radcliffe Trust supports classical music performance and training, especially chamber music, composition and music education. The next application window opens on 1st May and closes on 31st July.

The Meikle Foundation
The Meikle Foundation (previously the Martin Connell Charitable Trust) has supported a wide range of charitable activities including medical, youth, aged and cultural. The Trustees tend to support charities which are predominantly based in Scotland (with a particular interest in initiatives in Aberdeen and Fife).

The Robert McAlpine Foundation
The Foundation was established by the family of Sir Robert McAlpine and gives grants to support small charities situated throughout the UK. Funding is focused on bespoke applications which aim to improve mental and physical wellbeing. This includes applications for care and carers, assistive equipment, befriending and community social activities, education, training, outward bounds and sport provision for vulnerable people.

Kelly Family Charitable Trust
This trust is interested in funding charities whose activities involve the whole family, in initiatives that seek to tackle issues that face one or more of its members, and whose aims include the strengthening of family bonds by helping all elements of the family unit to grow together and support each other. The Grocers’ Charity
The Grocers’ Charity awards about £1 million pounds each year to UK-registered charities. For their open grants, they typically provide one-off grants of up to £5,000.
