Digital Discourse Initiative
Children and young people are increasingly exposed to online hate and disinformation. ‘Digital Discourse Initiative’ provides teachers and educators in Scotland with tools to counter the effects of this and teach core critical and digital media literacy skills. This is an international collaborative project developed by TIE and ISD, respective experts in anti-prejudice education and counter-extremism strategies.

Young People’s Voice and Choice in Education
The Scottish Parliament’s Education Children and Young People’s Committee met recently to hear evidence from Members of the Scottish Youth Parliament.  The MSYPs attending the session spoke eloquently about the importance of investing in the meaningful engagement of young people as co-designers of education in Scotland, and the vital role that youth work already plays in supporting young people both as learners and as participants in shaping their learning experiences.
